Diamond Stud Earrings - Job Safety
The selection of the style of earrings which you wear should be based on a number of factors. One of the more important components of your decision must be the type of work which you are engaged in. Many women choose diamond stud earrings for reasons of job safety. A selection of diamond stud earrings over another style of diamond earrings may be because the woman wants to project a more businesslike or professional appearance than a more elaborate diamond setting would provide.
While a longer dangling type earring may appear very lovely and perfectly appropriate for a formal dress occasion, the diamond stud earrings are usually more understated. The diamond stud earrings can be designed and executed in various metals and settings, but are often selected by business and professional women as a finishing touch to a more sophisticated business style that is not overwhelming when viewed by the surrounding individuals.
There is another aspect of diamond stud earrings and appropriateness for the work environment. In a job that is less businesslike in nature and includes more factory, industrial or assembly line activities, earrings which extend below the level of the earlobes may be inappropriate or even dangerous, due to moving machinery or equipment. Yet, at the same time, the woman working such a job has just as much desire to feel feminine and attractive as the professional woman. In such cases, diamond stud earrings may be the perfect alternative to more lengthy earrings, especially those which contain hoops of metal suspended from the earlobe.
Diamond stud earrings come in attractive colors, beautiful settings and lovely designs. Round brilliant or princess cuts are typical shapes for these diamonds, although other shapes of diamonds are prevalent as well. The metal is typically white or yellow gold, but sometimes platinum, or less frequently silver.
A bezel setting is used for a quieter setting with the most possible security. There is unlikely to be any droop with a bezel setting, as the diamond is often far back on the post so that the diamond doesn't pull the earlobe forward. With the bezel setting, slight variations in color and clarity are less obvious. The bezel setting generally makes the earring gemstones to appear larger. Bezel settings in yellow gold can make a slightly yellowish diamond appear whiter, thus giving the look of a more expensive diamond.
